I am writing to express my interest in the position of Nanny, an advertisement concerning which was posted online recently. I understand from your ad you are looking for an experienced, mature and caring nanny for your young children. I believe I meet all your listed requirements and believe I would make a good nanny for your children.

My name is Caitlin , I am 22 years of age, 23 in February and live in a small coastal town on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne, Australia.

As my attached resume shows, I have a number of different qualifications under my belt including first aid, and scuba instructing both of which I studied at William Angliss Institute of Tafe in Melbourne, Australia. I also have my Agents representative certificate and am currently working in Melbourne Australia as a Real Estate Agent in Property Management. While studying I started Nanying for a beautiful family who had 2 girls aged 3 & 5 with a baby boy on the way.

I absolutely loved this job and found I quickly built up a relationship with the two girls. My duties included; pick up and drop offs at school, taking the 3 year old to day care (guardian attendance was compulsory so I would stay with the child throughout daycare). I also took the children to and from dance classes, gymnastics classes and play dates. When I was at home with the children, my tasks included bathing children, cooking dinner, reading bedtime stories as well as general cleaning duties around the house. Once their son was born I also looked after all three children or even just helped out around the house and did activities with the two girls so their mother was able to have some one on one time with her new little boy.

As I now work full time, I no longer nanny on a full time basis for the family however as I built up such a strong bond with both the parents and the children, I still nanny for them quite often and was also offered a position to be a live in Au Pair. Although work commitments did not allow me to accept this offer I still love seeing the children and really enjoy our time together.

I have been approved for a Tier 5 Youth Mobility Visa to live and work in the UK for up to two years, I will arrive on April 28th 2016 and would be very interested to discuss the position you have available should you feel I may be suitable. I am looking for a live in Nanny position as I would like to experience all London has to offer as well as travel parts of Europe throughout my time in the UK.

Besides my application and resume, I am attaching a letter of recommendation from Tessa, who I have now known for almost 4 years. Tessa complemented me for my responsible, mature, and professional way of caring for her young children.
In addition to this ongoing nanny position, I have worked as a babysitter for several families, which have contacted me after Tessa had highly recommended me. I also have a niece who is 10 years old and who I absolutely adore and love spending time with, I have looked after her on many occasions (free of charge and completely out of love of course!) and who I have been trusted to look after since she was born.

I love children and enjoy their company immensely and find nothing is more rewarding than taking care of them. I believe in creating a positive, happy environment for children, one in which they feel protected and can thrive. I have good organizational, and communication skills as well as being very efficient, which I believe are among the most important skills for a nanny.
I don’t mind doing extra duties for you, like cleaning and cooking dinner for the entire family. I work well with other people, thanks to my friendly and caring nature.
